The Aiguille Rouge, a breathtaking panorama

L’Aiguille Rouge is the highest point of the Paradiski ski area, located between Les Arcs and La Plagne in the French Alps, in Savoie. Here is an overview of this iconic summit :

🌄 General characteristics

Altitude: 3,226 meters

Geographical location: Massif de la Vanoise, above the stations of Les Arcs (notably Arc 2000)

Access: Accessible by cable car from Arc 2000 (Aiguille Rouge cable car)

 

🎿 Winter: a paradise for skiers

Culminating point of the domain of Les Arcs: It is the starting point of some of the longest and most spectacular pistes of the domain.

Black track “Aiguille Rouge”: Very famous, it goes down to Villaroger with an impressive difference in altitude of more than 2,000 meters.

Exceptional panorama: On a clear day, you can see Mont Blanc, the Vanoise range, and many other alpine peaks.

 

🥾 Summer: hiking and nature

Accessible also in summer via the cable car (often open in July-August).

Ideal for hikers and mountain photographers.

The wildlife is rich (ibexes, marmots, bearded vultures…).

There is a suspended belvedere, offering a 360°view.
